To The Trees:
“To The Trees creates songs purposed to take listeners away; an earful of solitude and regular memories. Formed in 2015, Trevor Martin (vocals, keys), Katelyn Bearinger (lead vocals, keys), Mike Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Jake Bursey (percussion) started playing cover songs at local porch parties and community events. Later they fused their creativity and musical artistry together to create original music. Their sound is highlighted by heartfelt lyrics, atmospheric electronic elements, unique drum rhythms, and a blend of driving and ambient guitar textures.
Quickly becoming well-established in the Kitchener-Waterloo indie music scene, To The Trees garnered much interest from listeners when they entered and won the tiered Battle for KOI contest at Maxwell’s Concerts and Events in Waterloo. At the KOI festival, To The Trees shared the stage with talented artists including Kalle Matson, HIGHS, and Sam Cash and the Romantic Dogs.
To The Trees continues to create polished music with the plans of recording and releasing their new music later this year.”
